CHARGE AT BEERSHEBA SNOW GLOBE

The special bond between the men and Waler mounts of the Australian Light Horse holds a unique place in Australian folklore. This majestic Light Horse snow globe remembers the unwavering trust and reliance our Troopers placed in their mounts during the Great War of 1914-1918. But it also symbolises a respect for all war-animals – great and small – that have served alongside our armed forces. The unison of the purple war animals poppy and the traditional red poppy is part of a worldwide movement to help us understand the role of animals in war, and the bond of respect and trust our servicemen and women continue to place in them.
